Since 1967, the Glengarry School of Piping and Drumming (GSPD) has taught bagpipes and drums to students of all ages.

Musical experience is not necessary to join! GSPD currently operates from the Glengarry District High School in Alexandria, Ontario but is historically rooted in Maxville, Ontario where the school began.

GSPD is affiliated with the Glengarry Pipe Band, but students have always been welcome from any other pipe band organization.

GSPD students learn how to play both as soloists and as members of larger ensembles. They have opportunities to compete in solo contests, and as members of the Glengarry Pipe Band, which currently comprises Grade 5, Grade 4, Grade 3 and Juvenile bands.
